Cookie Policy
Effective Date: October 21, 2026
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies GlobalDeal uses on globaldeal.app. Read it together with our
Privacy Notice.
1. Cookies and Browser Storage
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (local storage and session storage) works in a similar way. We use both, but only for a few purposes: keeping you signed in, remembering your cookie choice, and — only if you agree — analytics. Our own site statistics work without any cookies or storage unless you agree (see section 3).
2. What We Use
| Name | Type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|
| accessToken, refreshToken | Browser storage | Necessary | Login token that keeps you signed in | Until you log out or the token expires |
| cookie_consent | Browser storage | Necessary | Remembers your cookie choice | Until you change your choice or clear browser storage |
| Keycloak sign-in cookies (for example AUTH_SESSION_ID, KEYCLOAK_SESSION, KEYCLOAK_IDENTITY) | Cookie | Necessary | Run the sign-in session with our login service | Browser session or until the sign-in session ends |
| Other technical items (for example cached logo addresses, session flags) | Browser storage | Necessary | Make pages load faster and remember the state of your visit | Browser session or until you clear browser storage |
| gd_vid | Browser storage (local storage) | Analytics — only with consent | Random visitor ID for our own statistics: recognises return visits | Until you withdraw consent or clear browser storage |
| gd_sid | Browser storage (session storage) | Analytics — only with consent | Random session ID for our own statistics; a new one starts after 30 minutes without activity | Until you close the tab |
| _ga, _ga_* (one per site ID) | Cookie | Analytics — only with consent | Google Analytics 4: counts visits and shows how pages are used | Up to 2 years |
3. Our Own Site Statistics
To understand how the site is used, GlobalDeal Inc. runs its own statistics on our servers (no third-party analytics service is involved). We record which pages are opened and their titles, how long a page is visible and how far it is scrolled, which links and buttons are clicked (their labels), the searches and filters run on the site, the site and campaign tags you came from, the type of device, browser, operating system, language, window size, page load time and script errors. From the IP address we derive the country, region, city and network (provider or organisation) with the DB-IP Lite database (
db-ip.com, CC BY 4.0) and a daily visitor code that changes every 24 hours.
We do not store your IP address for statistics. Visits of signed-in users are linked to their account.
- Without analytics consent — nothing is stored on your device: no cookies and no browser storage. We use only a random session ID kept in the page's memory, which disappears when you close the tab. The data is used only in aggregated form (for example, how many visits a page had).
- With analytics consent — we also keep the random visitor ID (gd_vid) and session ID (gd_sid) listed above, so we can count return visits, and we link visits to your account when you are signed in.
Statistics are kept for 13 months and then deleted automatically. They are not shared with anyone and not sold.
4. No Advertising Cookies
We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies, and we do not share data for targeted advertising.
5. Stripe
If you make a donation, you are taken to Stripe's checkout page. Stripe sets its own cookies there (for example for fraud prevention) under Stripe's own policies.
6. Your Choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics and the visitor ID for our own statistics are only used if you accept. If you withdraw consent, we remove the visitor ID and session ID from your browser. Necessary items do not need consent because the site cannot work without them.
You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" — the button at the bottom left of the page, or in the account menu.
7. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as refusing analytics cookies: Google Analytics does not run and our own statistics work without any storage on your device.
8. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
If you block or delete necessary items, you may be signed out or some features may stop working.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and the date at the top, and ask for your consent again where needed.
