About Open Source Ecology
Open Source Ecology (OSE) is a network of farmers, engineers, and supporters that aims to create and promote open-source technologies for sustainable living. The organization is best known for its development of the Global Village Construction Set (GVCS), a collection of open-source blueprints for 50 industrial machines that can be built for a fraction of the cost of commercial equivalents. OSE's mission is to empower communities to create their own sustainable economies by providing the tools and knowledge necessary to build and maintain their own infrastructure. The organization emphasizes collaboration, transparency, and the sharing of knowledge, making it a pioneer in the open-source movement. Through workshops, online resources, and community engagement, OSE seeks to inspire individuals and groups to adopt sustainable practices and technologies.
