About Uyghur Human Rights Project
The Uyghur Human Rights Project (UHRP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the human rights of the Uyghur people. Founded in 2004, UHRP conducts research, advocacy, and public education to raise awareness about the human rights abuses faced by Uyghurs in China and around the world. The organization works to document and disseminate information on the situation of Uyghurs, including issues related to cultural preservation, religious freedom, and political repression. UHRP engages with policymakers, media, and civil society to advocate for Uyghur rights and to hold accountable those responsible for human rights violations. Through its efforts, UHRP aims to support the Uyghur community and to promote justice and accountability for the abuses they face.
