About Growing Places
Growing Places is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through sustainable agriculture and food systems. Founded in 2010, the organization focuses on providing education, resources, and support to help people grow their own food, improve their health, and foster community connections. Through various programs, Growing Places promotes urban gardening, nutrition education, and food access initiatives, aiming to create a more equitable food system. The organization collaborates with local schools, community centers, and other nonprofits to expand its reach and impact, offering workshops, training sessions, and hands-on gardening experiences. By engaging community members in the process of growing food, Growing Places not only addresses food insecurity but also encourages environmental stewardship and personal well-being.
