About Xbmc
Xbmc, now known as Kodi, is an open-source media player and entertainment hub that allows users to play and view most videos, music, podcasts, and other digital media files from local and network storage media and the Internet. Originally developed as a media center application for the Xbox gaming console, Kodi has evolved into a versatile platform that supports various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. The software is highly customizable, with a wide range of add-ons available that enhance its functionality, allowing users to access streaming services, live television, and more. Kodi is maintained by a community of developers and is known for its user-friendly interface and extensive library of media content. The project is non-profit and relies on donations and contributions from its user base to sustain its development and support.
