About Alberta Low Impact Development Partnership
The Alberta Low Impact Development Partnership (ALIDP) is a collaborative initiative aimed at promoting sustainable land development practices in Alberta, Canada. The organization focuses on the implementation of low impact development (LID) techniques that help manage stormwater, reduce environmental impacts, and enhance the ecological integrity of urban and rural landscapes. By providing resources, training, and support to municipalities, developers, and landowners, ALIDP seeks to foster a culture of sustainability and resilience in Alberta's development practices. The partnership engages with various stakeholders, including government agencies, industry professionals, and community groups, to share knowledge and best practices related to LID. Through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs, ALIDP aims to educate and empower communities to adopt innovative approaches to land use that prioritize environmental stewardship and community well-being.
