About Irib
Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) is the national state broadcaster of Iran, responsible for radio and television broadcasting. Established in 1979, IRIB operates multiple television and radio channels, providing a wide range of programming including news, entertainment, and cultural content. The organization aims to promote Iranian culture and values while also providing news coverage of national and international events. IRIB has faced criticism for its censorship and state control over media content, but it remains a significant player in the Iranian media landscape, with a large audience both domestically and among the Iranian diaspora.
