About Daito Ryu
Daito Ryu is a traditional Japanese martial art that focuses on the principles of Aikido and Jujutsu. It emphasizes the use of joint locks, throws, and techniques that allow practitioners to defend themselves against armed and unarmed attackers. The art is known for its fluid movements and the philosophy of using an opponent's energy against them. Daito Ryu has a rich history, tracing its origins back to the samurai era, and is often taught in a dojo setting, where students learn through kata (forms) and sparring. The practice not only develops physical skills but also promotes mental discipline and respect for others. Daito Ryu has gained international recognition, with schools and practitioners around the world, contributing to the preservation and dissemination of traditional Japanese martial arts.
