About Coderdojo
CoderDojo is a global movement of free, volunteer-led, community-based programming clubs for young people. Founded in 2011 in Ireland, CoderDojo aims to provide a fun and engaging environment where children and teenagers can learn coding, develop their digital skills, and create projects using technology. The organization encourages collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving among its members, fostering a sense of community and belonging. CoderDojo clubs are run by volunteers and are open to all young people aged 7 to 17, regardless of their prior experience with coding. The initiative has expanded worldwide, with thousands of clubs in various countries, promoting digital literacy and empowering the next generation of innovators and creators. CoderDojo also emphasizes the importance of mentorship and peer learning, allowing participants to share knowledge and support each other in their coding journeys.
