About Geographical Association
The Geographical Association (GA) is a UK-based educational charity that promotes the teaching and learning of geography. Founded in 1893, the GA aims to support educators, students, and the wider community in understanding the importance of geography in a rapidly changing world. The organization provides a range of resources, including publications, teaching materials, and professional development opportunities for teachers. The GA also engages in advocacy work to promote geography in the curriculum and to highlight its relevance in addressing global challenges such as climate change, urbanization, and sustainability. Through its various initiatives, the GA seeks to inspire a love of geography and to foster a deeper understanding of the world among learners of all ages.
