About Educate Together
Educate Together is a national organization in Ireland that promotes equality-based education. Founded in 1978, it advocates for a model of education that is inclusive, child-centered, and democratic. The organization operates a network of primary and secondary schools that are committed to providing a learning environment where all children, regardless of their background, can thrive. Educate Together schools are characterized by their multi-denominational ethos, which means they do not promote any particular religious belief, allowing for a diverse and inclusive atmosphere. The organization also engages in advocacy work to influence educational policy in Ireland, aiming to ensure that all children have access to high-quality education that respects their rights and identities. Through its innovative approach to education, Educate Together seeks to empower students to become active and responsible citizens in a democratic society.
