About Dev Bootcamp
Dev Bootcamp was a pioneering coding bootcamp that offered immersive training programs in software development. Founded in 2012, it aimed to equip students with the necessary skills to launch their careers in technology. The curriculum focused on full-stack web development, covering languages and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Dev Bootcamp emphasized hands-on learning, project-based assessments, and collaboration, allowing students to build a portfolio of work to showcase to potential employers. The bootcamp also provided career support services, including resume workshops, interview preparation, and networking opportunities with industry professionals. Dev Bootcamp was known for its rigorous selection process, ensuring that students were committed and had a passion for technology. Over the years, it expanded its locations across the United States, offering both in-person and online courses. However, in 2017, Dev Bootcamp announced its closure, marking the end of an era for one of the first coding bootcamps in the industry. Despite its closure, the impact of Dev Bootcamp on the tech education landscape remains significant, influencing the rise of similar programs and the push for accessible tech education.
